TO PARAPHRASE MAO: A REVOLUTION IS NOT A DINNER PARTY...SO BE CAREFUL OUT THERE

http://www.qingwu.net/blog/archives/photo/2004/Mao.JPGThe other day I suggested here  that it was time to start treating Tea Baggers like the racist scum they are. Apparently others have taken up that call. One thing to remember when confronting these racists is that they are violent and they are nuts. So while I am in complete support obviously of organizing against these white supremacists, just be careful out there. I remember when the Communist Workers Party protested the Klan in North Carolina but was unprepared for the murderous armed assault on them by the Klan which occurred. Several anti-Klan demonstrates were killed. So again, just be alert. Confronting tea baggers is a righteous tactic for anti-racists, but it must be done with some thought and concern for the defense and safety of you and your comrades."

P.S.. Personally, I don't think option two mentioned below is feasible.

The following is from Infoshop News.

CRASH THE TEA PARTIES

On April 15th thousands of right-wingers will attend rallies in cities and towns across the United States. The organizers of this nationwide day of protest call it a tea party. This tea party movement that emerged only a year ago is a coalition of conservatives, anti-Semites, fascists, libertarians, racists, constitutionalists, militia men, gun freaks, homophobes, Ron Paul supporters, Alex Jones conspiracy types and American flag wavers. If the tea party movement continues to grow in size and strength there is a big chance they will dominate this country in the near future. If the tea party movement takes over this country they will really hurt poor people by getting rid of social programs like food stamps, unemployment benefits, disability benefits, student aid, free health care, etc. The tea party movement will say these programs must be gotten rid of because hard-working taxpayers cannot afford to pay for these things especially when the economy is in a depression. There are three options we have with the tea party movement:

1. Organize counter-protests against the tea party demonstrations, same time, same place. This is probably the best option. We need to get in the streets on April 15th and show the tea party movement that there are lots of people out there who oppose their agenda.

2. Get individual tea party protesters to leave the right-wing and move to the left politically. That would involve passing out stuff like this at the tea party demonstrations: http://www.anarchist-studies.org/node/299

3. Ignore the tea party movement. This is the worst option because without anyone opposing them they could easily gain power.

Some good articles critical of the tea party movement:

  1. I used to be left, very left.

is anyone in the left remotely interested why I became disgusted with the alleged 'left'?

  2. I don't know about anyone else, but I'm not (if it means you moved to the right).

  3. Okay, didn't think so.

Get individual tea party protesters to leave the right-wing and move to the left politically.

Didn't think you were interested in a serious honest conversation, very few leftists are interested in a serious sincere honest conversation with anyone who was left, and had constructive criticism feedback. You either got to be obedient to the ideological dogma, but no passionate conversation about whether the conclusions are a reflecton of reality, or fantasy.

Anyway, no worries, just wanted to extent a sincere hand, if there was such a person. But I appreciate you for at least being honest in your no, instead of pretending.

    Take care.

  4. There is a difference between having an ideological or philosophical debate among comrades and having a meaningless conversation with someone on the right. As I said, if you are on the right, I'm not interested. I actually tried having such a conversation with someone way over your way from the blog known as The Stiletto http://thestilettoblog.com/

As long as I said something she agreed with all was well, but as for discussion, not so much. I respect that in her actually. She wasn't wishy washy and neither am I. She didn't pretend to be a "compassionate conservative" and I certainly never have even hinted that I was a "liberal."

  5. I will talk to anyone; don't care what they classify themselves as; all I ask is that they are brutally honest; cause if they are being honesty lite, or pretending, they are wasting my time, and theirs. But they are welcome to waste theirs.

I belong to a community of people, probably the only one in the world, where we have blacks, whites, what you would consider 'right' or 'left', on both extremes; and our foundation is honesty, what I call the Truth and Forgiveness Social Contract.

I want to talk to anyone who wants an honest conversation, not just about ideology, but about whether the alleged ideology is a bunch of bullshit pretence 'red flag' to the ignorant masses, and masks a psychological insecurity and greed for power; or whether that ideology is worthy of a serious enquiry and is applicable and important WORKS in the lives of those who adopt it as a working hypothesis.

I'd rather spend an entire day listening to a brutally honest 'racist', whether left, right, black or white; who takes responsibility for his ideological views, instead of pretending he hasn't got them, and explains the foundations upon which they are based; than spend time talking to the alleged 'anti-racists' and 'anti-fascists', who consider themselves superior to a conservative, or some group of people, with whom they refuse to have an honest conversation, and know sweet nothing about; who then go home totheir lily white suburbs, where daddy drives a pajero, or such crap. Who have never lived in a ghetto; and who don't have one nigger friend, who slaps them on the back and says 'hey white nigger, how you doing today'?

So, I wish you well, and enjoy your charming ideological conversations with your 'comrades'! As I said, thanks for at least being honest, that you ain't interested in a brutal honest conversation with certain types of people, whom you consider yourself superior to.

Hope you found, or find what you looking for. I did. For me, was the Radical Honesty Social Contract.

  6. What a bunch of hogwash.

As to your so called "Truth and Forgiveness Social Contract" - me thinks it is difficult to figure out what you folks even believe or stand for outside of your concept of radical truth which leads you around in a circle. Perhaps, you could explain it to all of us who are less enlightened than you in simple terms that we could understand. When I look around the net for something that might explain what you are talking about what I find is "Radical Honesty." Surely, that is not your big secret.

As to Radical Honesty, I keep coming up with this fellow Brad Blanton and his "radical honesty" theories. At his site radical honesty is described thus, "What is Radical Honesty? Radical Honesty is a kind of communication that is direct, complete, open and expressive. Radical Honesty means you tell the people in your life what you've done or plan to do, what you think, and what you feel. It's the kind of authentic sharing that creates the possibility of love and intimacy.'

The practice of Radical Honesty is based on the work and writings of Dr. Brad Blanton, a psychologist who found that the best way to reduce stress, make life work, and heal the past is to tell the truth."

    I also discovered this gem,
"'practicing radical honesty'.. a process which helps to let the steam of the anger off, so that the anger, does not overwhelm you and thereby take over your thinking, and actions, because you are driven by it... when the anger is released, you can act impartialy... you can be balanced, in a world fast spinning out of balance.."

All I can say to that is "far out, man."

So again, I assume there is more to your spiel or maybe Radical Honesty has nothing to do with it at all. Please, oh please, inform us.

In any event, unlike you, I have NO interest at all in speaking to racists whether they are brutally honest or not.

By the way I find your phrase "and who don't have one nigger friend..." more than a bit offensive.

And aren't you happy, we are having that discussion I didn't even want to have...I'm not sure if this makes me brutally honest or dishonest or what but it sure is darn fun.

  7. So, I guess you ain't got any nigger friends, who consider you one of their affectionate white nigger buddies?

Interesting you don't know what Radical Honesty; you haven't gone to one radical honesty workshop, you've done a halfhearted internet search; but you have already come to a conclusion it is hogwash.

Clearly you are one of those people who don't have much of a concern for such things as impartial enquiries, upon which such principles as hte rule of law are based, right?

Isn't that what bigots and shallowminded racists do? Make judgements about others without making an impartial enquiry?

Anyway.. different strokes for different folks.. if htat makes you happy.. by all means.. I am quite happy in my community of radical honest black, white, conservative, liberals, hippies, gays, straights, etc... who love each other enough to base our communications upon a constituion of truth and forgiveness...

If you ever change your mind.. or think one day, maybe actually talking to someone about why they feel the way they do, before you go off and scream at them and call them names, because they are 'racists' (what are you, when you do exactly what they do; but don't have hte balls to be honest you are a bigot?)... by all means.. drop a line, and say hi...

  9. First off, I never called you a racist.

    Second, I don't use the N word.

Third, I have no idea what to make of your question, "So, I guess you ain't got any nigger friends, who consider you one of their affectionate white nigger buddies?"

Fourth, the rule of law in the real world means the rule of those who make the law...it is not an absolute.

Fifth, bigots are not just people who, "... don't have much of a concern for such things as impartial enquiries, upon which such principles as hte rule of law are based..."

Sixth, I do NOT do exactly what they do. I do not hate, maim, and murder people based on the color of their skin, or their sexual orientation, or their religion, etc.

Seventh, I could care less how honest white supremacists, homophobes, anti-semites, etc.happen to be.

Eighth, you are right, I have absolutely no desire to have a dialogue with the people mentioned in "Seventh" above.

Ninth, if I had been on my way to the crematorium I would not have been interested in having a chat with a brutally honest nazi. If I had been a slave in the old south, I would not have been interested in having coffee and discussing the true feelings with the guy holding the whip. If I were I women who had just been raped, I would not be interested in sharing some quality time with my rapist while offering my understanding and forgiveness. And on it goes.

We live in a real world, not a make believe psychological wonderland.

Anyway, you have a nice day with your gaggle of "... radical honest black, white, conservative, liberals, hippies, gays, straights, etc (the etc. I presume include white supremacists, gay bashers, haters of Jews and Muslims, fascists, and all the rest of the garbage of society) ... who love each other enough to base...(your) communications upon a constituion of truth and forgiveness..."
