JUST A NOTE ON JENA 6 PROTEST

I've got to tell you that as I've been searching for news for the OD today, I've found literally dozens of sites telling of people boarding buses here, there, and everywhere for Jena. Keep your eyes on that one and a "right on" to all you folks who are on the way. The people in the photo here are from Atlanta and are waiting to board their bus.

I feel bad that I'm sitting here. Oh well...

WHEN WILL ALL OF AMERICA ADMIT THAT WE ARE SICK IN THIS COUNTRY. WE STILL SE AN ENTIRE SECTOR OF OUR POPULATION AS LESS THAN. HOW IS THAT POSSIBLE AND WHEN WILL BLACK AMERICA REALIZE THAT THEIR STRENGH LIES IN NUMBERS - THEY MUST FIND A WAY TO PUT PRINCIPALS ABOVE PERSONALITIES AND COME TOGETHER IN GOOD AS WELL AS BAD TIMES TO FIGHT INJUSTICE. WHEN WILL BLACK AMERICA REALIZE THAT THEY ARE THE CHOSEN PEOPLE AND THAT IS THE REASON FOR THE CONTINUED PERSECUTION. EVEN THE CHRISTIAN RIGHT KNOWS ITS THE TRUTH - THAT'S WHY THEY FIGHT SO HARD AGAINST US AND EVERY OTHER PEOPLES THAT JESUS HIMSELF SPENT MOST OF HIS TIME WITH DURING THE SHORT TIME HE WALKED AMONG US.

  2. 2 wrongs don't make aright
6 kids stomping one defenceless kid is not right
    jail time ??
    well i don't know
yet i think if the six said they were very sorry for there actions
    and did some communnity service
and stayed out of trouble for some time in the future
as sick as the noose incident was it is a world of difference than assault

blacl people want to be treated equal
and that is not the case in many times
white people do not get a free ride either

maybe if we were just americans
    not any race or creed
this world would be better place
but blac people want the six to get special treatment cause of the past . it makes a new racist situation , just in reverse
    peace

This was a high school fight and these kids should have been punished by the school board and not the district attorney.
What was done to Travis Barker was wrong but the reality is children fight and I honestly think this attack was provoked but that is neither here nor there.

This is blatant racism. The DA has made a large mistake in trying to make a name for himself. This case has brought out the town of Jena and its dark secrets. The DA has left himself open to having all his cases reviewed for racial bias,

It's sad we're still on this. Yeah they beat up the kid in school. It happens all over America, and kids get suspended, maybe a juvenile charge, but 2nd degree attempted murder and a sneaker as the alleged deadly weapon?? What?!? We're still doing this in America? We're still putting black young men in jail for the most insignificant offenses. This happens alot in school, regardlesss of race, gender, sexual orientation, etc. It's ridiculous, the DA should be disbarred, just like Mike Nifong in the Duke case, and the judge shouldn't have a seat. I can't believe all of the progress that has been made in Civil Rights, and we still have the Jena 6 and the Genarlow Williamses in the South.

    six stomping one ??
a high school fight is one on one
    puleezze
    the charges were exsessive
yet if the jena six were upset about the noose and other stuff then there actions were pre-meditated ???

when will if ever we become creedless race less
    just simple americans

    peace

  6. This was and is a very interesting issue! Yes, the fight that the boys had was not right, and there are proper legal ways to go about handling a situation. But with a system that is unjust, things like this do occur.

To me, the short and real of the "Jena 6" is about a problem with the American Justice System! There is not equal justice for all! The color of a person, their financial means, and the location of the incident are all very important factors which make up a "variable" that carries a lot of weight in the "Justice System". Our "Justice System" have blatant flaws that it seems that "the people" has not wanted addressed or changed over the years!

The situation in Jena is clearly about a "racially based ideology"! It is not fair nor right how the event came to be and is being viewed by the "local legal system" there, which supposedly is a part of our "American Justice System".

We the people, have a true duty not to just vocalize and rally at only the time(s) and event(s) of a known publicized problem, but we need to be striving at working vigorously in the legal system to make changes so that situations like in Jena or from over in Georgia do not happen.

A fully better day has not yet come, but there is still hope and a vision for that!
